We set no cookies. We run no analytics and no advertising trackers. We don't know who you are unless you fill in the form, and if you do, the only things we hold are your photos, the area you typed and your email address. Ask us and we'll delete all of it.
Last updated 2 August 2026 · We Pay for Junk is an early-stage prototype operating in Mississauga, Etobicoke and Brampton, Ontario.
Only what you type into the valuation form. Nothing else on this site collects anything about you.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Photographs you upload | To identify the item and work out what it's worth |
| Postal code or neighbourhood | To know which buyers are near enough to collect |
| Your email address | To send you the answer. Nothing else. |
| Your description, if you write one | Optional context for the valuation |
| The fact that you ticked consent, and when | Required under Canadian anti-spam law |
We deliberately do not ask for your name, your phone number or your street address. If you volunteer any of those in the description box, we'd rather you didn't.
Being straight about this, because most privacy policies aren't. To load the page at all, your browser fetches fonts, icons and images from other companies' servers, and those companies can see your IP address as a result. We don't control that and we don't receive anything from it.
Form submissions are kept while we're actively working on your valuation and for up to twelve months afterwards, so we can improve how accurately we price things. Consent records are kept longer because anti-spam law requires it. Everything else goes.
Under PIPEDA, Canada's federal privacy law, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — and we'll do it, without asking why. There is no account to close and no dark pattern to click through. Just email us.
To reach us about any of this: privacy@wepayforjunk.com
If you'd rather not email, reply to whatever we sent you and say "delete my data". That works too.
We only email you if you ticked the consent box, and only about the item you sent us. We don't run a mailing list, and there is nothing to unsubscribe from — but if you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop, permanently and immediately.
Our valuations are estimates, not appraisals. We tell you what things like yours have recently sold for. We are not licensed appraisers, the number is not a guarantee, and nobody is obliged to pay it. Don't rely on it for insurance, probate or tax purposes without getting a real appraisal.
We are not a party to your sale. If you sell something to a buyer you found here, that transaction is between the two of you. We don't take payment, don't hold funds, don't deliver anything and don't guarantee that either side behaves well. Use ordinary sense: meet safely, don't let strangers into your home alone, and count the money.
Much of this site is still a demonstration. The listings, buyers, valuations and activity shown on the site are sample data built to show how the product works. The valuation form is the one part that is real and reaches an actual person.
It's free, and it stays free for you. We never charge people who are getting rid of things. Commercial buyers pay us to reach sellers.
